Two of the leading names in the UK bodyboard industry are teaming up to support the British Team competing at the 2010 World Bodyboard Games in Gran Canaria, the British Bodyboard Club (‘BBC’) announced today.

Action Sports Distribution are the importers of leading bodyboard brands NMD, VS, Pride, Toys and Turbo; along with Stealth fins. Whilst Porthtowan based Bodyboard HQ is one the UK’s leading bodyboard retailers. Rob Muscutt of ASD said “we have collaborated with Dave Heard at BBHQ on a number of projects previously, and when we found out about the opportunity presented by the WBBG we jumped at the chance to get involved”.

Both ASD and BBHQ have an established track record of sponsoring UK bodyboarders and for them this was a logical extension of that long-term commitment. Dave Heard said “we’re in the business of supporting our sport at both its grass-roots and top level and the WBBG does both. It’s also a great opportunity to promote it to people who know nothing about bodyboarding”.

The financial support provided by ASD and BBHQ will be used to provide logistical support for Team GB alongside funds from the BBC and other sources.
